Beardsley, Smith finish as Freestyle all state wrestlers-Beardsley Qualifies for Asics Vaughan Nationals
Fowlerville, MI May 10th, 2015-Glenn Beardsley and Brenden Smith competed in the freestyle wrestling portion of the MUSAW state tournament this past weekend at Fowlerville High School. Both Wrestlers placed with Brenden taking 3rd and Glenn Beardsley finishing as a runner-up. Glenn's finish qualifies him for the national tournament in Fargo, ND should he decide to compete. Both wrestlers faced tough competition and had quality wins. Brenden Smith defeated St. John's Bret Fedewa en route to the Bronze. The highlight of Beardsley's day came in defeating MHSAA All-Stater Tom Schoenner of Bay City Western Via the pin for 2nd place. Beardsley's lone loss was a 2-2 decision on criteria to 3x MHSAA state finalist/2X champ Mason Smith of Clio. Great job guys-and keep up the good work this summer.

Farwell Wrestling 2015 Season re-cap
Farwell Wrestling would like to take a moment and thank all of the team members, support staff, parents, sponsors, and fans, friends, and family for what has been our best year yet. Farwell finished the season with an overall team record of 14-4. The Eagles won the dual meet portion of the league competition going 5-1, and had a strong showing at the league tournament. Additionally, the Eagles tied for the most regional qualifiers, state qualifiers, and all-state wrestlers in program history. Next year they return a state qualifier and two all state wrestlers, along with the best 8th grade class they've ever seen. With continued support, focus, and blessings there could be some very big things approaching for Farwell Wrestling in the near future. Congrats Gentlemen and thank you for a great year.

Battle Creek, MI March 29th 2015-Brenden Smith continued his 2015 season competing in the MYWA state tournament series that concluded this past weekend at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. He competed in a field that included multiple MHSAA state and regional qualifiers, as well as an all-state wrestler, and a state runner up. Auburn Hills, MI March 7th, 2015-This years MHSAA individual state wrestling finals treated the Farwell eagles fairly well as they were fortunate to place two of their three state qualifiers. Garrett McQuiston went 3-2 on the weekend en route to a 7th place finish. Glenn Beardsley suffered an early loss in the quarterfinals before battling back in dominant fashion to take third place. Both wrestlers are underclassmen and look to return next year to lead Farwell in what could be its best year on the mats yet. Great job gentlemen! Stay hungry, humble, and focused on the big things that could come!

Forfinski, Beardsley, and McQuiston Qualify for MHSAA Individual Finals
Grayling, MI February 21st, 2015-Despite Falling a little short of where they'd hoped Farwell Qualified three individuals for the state tournament which will be hosted March 5th-7th at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Clay Forfinski finished 2-2 on the day to claim a state birth at 119 lbs. Glenn Beardsley repeated as regional champion in his sophomore year via a dramatic defeat of top ranked Matt Santos of Swan Valley. Garrett McQuiston rounded out the field with a solid 3rd place finish in an extremely deep weight class to qualify for the tournament. Check back as soon as all three to battle their way onto the podium in a couple of weeks at the individual state finals.

Farwell, MI February 5th, 2015-The Farwell High School Varsity Wrestling Team accomplished another one of their season goals this Wednesday when they claimed the team district crown. Farwell hosted the event, and started off with a strong showing defeating Beaverton High School in the semi-final. In the final, the Eagles started down nearly 30 points before roaring back to a dramatic finish capped off by a Glenn Beardsley pin to claim the district crown 39-37. Great Job Farwell!

Williamston, MI January 17th, 2015-Glenn Beardsley had another first in Farwell Wrestling program history, when he won the prestigious Williamston Mooney classic this weekend. Beardsley entered a solid bracket featuring 5 ranked opponents from all divisions. In the semi-finals Beardsley defeated Nick Phelps of New Boston Huron via a pin, before dismantling Dearborn Fordson's Abe Ajami 8-0 in the final to earn the major decision. The tournament wasn't as kind to the rest of the Eagles as the only other wrestler to place was Garrett McQuiston who fell just short of earning a medal and took 6th place.

Beardsley Named OW at Parma Western
Parma, MI January 3rd, 2015-This weekend's Parma western Individual tournament Featured some solid competition from southern and western Michigan. Glenn Beardsley won the tournament in a tough field featuring 6 top ranked wrestlers, including 2x state qualifier Chase Veydt of Parma who he majored in the finals. For his performance he was named outstanding wrestler of the tournament's lower weight division. Garrett McQuiston was also a champion narrowly edging his finals opponent 3-1. Clay Forfinski took a 4th place medal, while Justin Norbury rounded out the place winners finishing 6th. Good job Eagles.
